SASKATOON – The second of two brothers behind an armed kidnapping in Saskatoon was sentenced Friday. Jeremy Mooswa was given 11 years, but with time served, is scheduled to spend the next 30 months in prison.
Mooswa received two months off his sentence for every month already spent in remand.

A Court of Queen’s Bench judge said the man’s exemplary behaviour since his arrest and Mooswa’s difficult upbringing factored into the decision.
He and his brother Jayvin Mooswa were convicted in August 2013 of beating, robbing and kidnapping Clifton Wolfe who was 26 at the time. Jayvin Mooswa received a nine-year sentence in 2013.
A 52-page court decision also labelled Jeremy Mooswa a dangerous offender, based on the violent nature of the event and his history of violent behaviour.
The judge recommended Jeremy Mooswa serve his sentence at an institution outside of Saskatchewan.
