LUMBY, B.C. – A big win announced for a small north Okanagan town Saturday.

After winning $100,000 for arena upgrades in the Kraft Hockeyville contest in March, Lumby residents were celebrating April 2 after winning the Hockeyville top prize: a game between two NHL teams.

The match between the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings will take place October 2, but it may not happen at Lumby’s Pat Duke Memorial Arena.

The NHL is scouting the region to see if other facilities will fit the bill better.

Saint-Isidore, Que., was the runner-up.
