4 teens charged following break and enter on Big River First Nation

Four teens are facing charges following a break and enter at a home on a Saskatchewan First Nation. According to police, a group of armed persons entered the home on the Big River First Nation around 8 p.m. CT Sunday and caused extensive damage to the interior of the home.

Three people at the house were not physically injured.

Mounties say a vehicle connected to the break and enter was located approximately three hours later. Two teens were arrested at the time and police say they recovered weapons including a knife and BB handgun.

The investigation led to charges against four youth.

A 15-year-old boy is charged with break and enter with intent, possession of a imitation firearm to commit an offence and uttering threats.

The three other boys, 15 and two 16-year-olds, are charged with break and enter with intent.

All are from the Big River First Nation.

They are scheduled to appear in Big River First Nation provincial court on May 10.
