EDMONTON — An Edmonton-area father and daughter were found safe after RCMP asked the public to come forward with any information on their whereabouts.
Fort Saskatchewan RCMP said on Friday that 33-year-old Ryan Collins and his four-year-old daughter Alexis Collins were last seen at a home in Bruderheim more than two weeks ago.
They had spoken with relatives at their home on March 3, but hadn’t been seen by family members since. The two were believed to be in or around Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan or Beaumont.
Last week Mounties were made aware that the pair had gone missing. Cst. Sean Morris with the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP said the father had been in contact with family via social media, but police still need further proof the two were fine.
The girl lives with her father, Morris added, so RCMP were not treating the case as an abduction.
RCMP said on Sunday both father and daughter were found safe and in good health.
