CALGARY – A Calgary wedding and event planning company has received international recognition in the pages of Vogue.
Hera Wedding and Events is listed on Vogue’s Ultimate Wedding Planner Master List, published this month. Only five Canadian companies made the cut.
The magazine cites big-name clients like NHLer Mike Green as part of the reason the company has garnered so much attention.

Owner Rachel Andrews said she was sought out by the magazine, who contacted her via email.
“It feels amazing, and it’s also more amazing to be on the same pages as the people that I’ve looked up to for so long like Mindy Weis, Sinclair and Moore, and Preston Bailey. These are the world’s best celebrity wedding planners,” Andrews said.
“What girl wouldn’t want to be in Vogue?”
“I have always known that I wanted to do this,” Andrews said. “I planned my brother’s first wedding on our driveway when I was like six, and it was actually really nice.”

Although Andrews admits it is a high-pressure job, she also said she enjoys the chaos of it all.
“It’s someone’s biggest day of their life, well one of them for sure, and it’s such a production… there’s so many details.”

The other four Canadian companies listed were based in Ottawa, Toronto, Victoria and Vancouver.
