4 charged after firearms seized at Prince Albert, Sask. home

Four people are facing numerous firearm-related charges after a 911 call led Prince Albert police to investigate a house on Feb. 19. At around 5:36 a.m. CT, officers were called to the 300-block of 26th Street West in the city.

A woman at the residence advised police that people inside had firearms.

Occupants were asked to exit and the residence was eventually cleared. A 27-year-old woman and three men, aged 28, 31 and 32, from the house were arrested.

As a result of the investigation, police seized a .22 calibre handgun, a .177 calibre handgun and a hunting rifle.

The four suspects have been charged with offences including possession of a weapon, possession of a loaded restricted firearm without a license, careless storage of a firearm, obstructing a peace officer and uttering threats.

All were expected to appear Monday morning in Prince Albert provincial court.
