A panicked teen who was shot multiple times at a Burger King drive-thru in Florida this week says she kept herself from going into shock by live streaming her reactions onto Facebook just moments after the shooting.
Donesha Gantt, 18, streamed the aftermath of Tuesday’s shooting in South Florida and posted it to Facebook, where she begged God for forgiveness.
“I feel like I’m going to pass out,” a sobbing Gantt said in the video. “Ma, I got shot three times…I’m shot three times in my stomach…I’m bleeding.”
According to the Miami Herald, three people were in the car at the time of the shooting and one of the shooting victims was Gantt’s mother.
“If I die, God forgive me for all my sins,” the teen cried. “God, forgive me for everything.”
While recovering in hospital the teen took to Facebook to explain why she went live following the shooting.
Last month, Facebook began to roll out its new live streaming service to iPhone users in the U.S. The social media site began testing Live Video in December but it was only available to a handful of people.
Facebook plans to expand its streaming service to the rest of the world over the coming weeks.
Police believe the women were targeted in the shootings, the Herald reported. Both Gantt and her mother were reportedly in stable condition following the shooting. The third occupant in the vehicle was uninjured.
In the video the teenager said she knew who had shot up her vehicle.
“That’s crazy, I know who shot me but it’s good,” she said.
However, citing sources, the Herald reported that Gantt refused to cooperate with police.
Gantt’s video was reportedly viewed over 300,000 times on Facebook before being removed on Wednesday.
