SASKATOON – Mark Matthews scored four times and assisted on two more as the Saskatchewan Rush handed Colorado its first loss of the National Lacrosse League season, beating the Mammoth 12-10 on Friday. Zack Greer had three goals and an assist for the Rush (2-1) as Chris Corbeil, Robert Church, Jarrett Davis, Adrian Sorichetti and Ben McIntosh added the others.

John Grant had two goals and three assists while Jordan Gilles and Eli McLaughlin also had a pair of goals apiece for the Mammoth (4-1). Adam Jones, Jeremy Noble, Dan Coates and Callum Crawford supplied the rest of the offence.

Saskatchewan’s Aaron Bold made 35 saves as Dillon Ward kicked out 38 shots for Colorado.

The Rush went 0 for 3 on the power play while the Mammoth scored four times on five chances.
