Man killed in southern Alberta highway crash

CALGARY – Crowsnest Pass RCMP are investigating a collision on Thursday that killed one man.

The crash happened on Highway 3, just east of Bellevue, at around 5 p.m.

Investigators said an eastbound pickup truck collided with a westbound semi.

The driver in the semi was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries, while a passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The community of Bellevue is located about 200 kilometres south of Calgary.
