MONTREAL-  Whether it’s by hand, plow or with heavy equipment, Montrealers are still digging themselves out from last week’s storm – and it’s not quite over yet.

The City of Montreal was supposed to finish its snow removal Monday, but it’s since been pushed to Wednesday.

The boroughs with the most to do: LaSalle, Pierrefonds-Roxboro and Ville Saint-Laurent.

“The snow removal sucks,” said one resident.

“I’m going to daycare, but I’m stuck in the snow. They put the signs up since yesterday to clean and they’re not even here yet.”

In Pierrefonds, streets were relatively clean but there are still some problem areas.

“For us, we’re on a main thorough way here so it’s clear within 24 hours,” said a resident near Ste. Anne Street.

“Our neighbours in the back, usually their streets are messed up for many days and in 24 hours theirs got cleared too, so I was surprised.”

Although a lot of Montreal is behind schedule, Anjou was the first to fully clear its snow.
