It’s a big ticket project that proponents are hoping will draw in thousands to Coldstream; an amphitheater able to hold some 5,500 concert goers overlooking the picturesque Kalamalka Lake.
The Okanagan Summer Festivals Society is orchestrating the proposal, looking to lease the land from Okanagan College.

But not everyone is on board with the development and some are speaking out.
Some residents who live beside the proposed site say they’re concerned about the noise level and parking problems, but others say they’re all for the project.
The festivals society says its heard the concerns and is still looking into possible solutions.
Okanagan College hasn’t signed a lease agreement yet and a spokesperson says it needs more information before doing so.
