Sawed-off shotgun pointed at man during Saskatoon carjacking

SASKATOON – There was a carjacking Tuesday evening in Saskatoon. Police say a man was sitting in his parked car in the 200-block of Avenue K South when he was approached by two men.

The 19-year-old victim told police one of them pointed what appeared to be a sawed-off shotgun at him and ordered him to get out of his vehicle.

They then took off in his Toyota Matrix. It was found abandoned a short time later in the 100-block of Avenue O South.

Police are looking for two First Nation men, between 25 and 30 and approximately five-foot 11. They were wearing black winter coats with black hoodies underneath.

It is the second carjacking in Saskatoon and area in less than a week.

Over the weekend, two women had a handgun pulled on them when they stopped to offer assistance at a rollover near Clavet.

Five people took off in their vehicle. They were later arrested in North Battleford following a chase on Highway 16.
