It’s not too soon to start thinking about the 2016 camping season. Starting in January, people can apply for a seasonal camping site at one of 20 provincial parks and recreation sites in Saskatchewan.

The sites will be allocated by a lottery system and will allow campers to secure a campsite from mid-May until the end of August.

“The opportunity to spend time with family and friends in a beautiful, natural setting is very important to the people of our province, and is only growing in popularity,” said Mark Docherty, Saskatchewan’s parks, culture and sport minister.
