KELOWNA – A windstorm that hits parts of the central Okanagan early Tuesday afternoon has created some troubles.
Two conifer trees were toppled across the south end of Lakeshore Road in Kelowna, striking power lines.
That caused power to be lost in the area and the road is closed while utility crews deal with the issue.
There are also reports of a downed tree on power lines on June Springs Road in East Kelowna.
Across the lake at the West Kelowna Yacht Club, the winds caused a houseboat to break from its moorings and drift onto nearby rocks.
There is also damage to other boats and the floating docks at the marina.
