WATCH: Midget AAA Wild win all Winnipeg showdown over Thrashers

WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Wild moved within two points of first place with a 6-3 victory over the rival Winnipeg Thrashers on Wednesday at the MTS Iceplex.

Rylan Bettens led the way for the Wild with two goals and one assist.  Kelton Sutherland, Tanner Mole, Riley Stotts and Dylan Cassie also scored for the Wild.  Dylan Burton notched two goals for the Thrashers in the loss and Nate Hooper also found the net.

Mitchel Adamyk stopped 46 of 49 shots for the Wild while Dylan Myskiw made 25 saves in the Thrashers goal.

The Wild improved to 11-1 while the third place Thrashers fell to 9-2-1 on the season.

WATCH: The Winnipeg Wild defeated the Thrashers in an all Winnipeg showdown in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.
