Man stabbed at Saskatoon strip mall parking lot

SASKATOON – A teen is facing charges following a stabbing early Thursday morning in Saskatoon. Police were called to a strip mall at Confederation Drive and 33rd Street West around 1:40 a.m. CT to investigate a reported stabbing.

Officers found a 20-year-old man who had been stabbed in the arm. He was taken to hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening wound.

During their investigation, officers determined an altercation had taken place in the parking lot. Police were able to identify the suspect’s vehicle after reviewing surveillance video.

The vehicle was spotted a short time later on Montreal Street. An officer made a traffic stop and arrested a 17-year-old boy.

He is facing a charge of aggravated assault along with possession of marijuana.
