TORONTO — A 44-year-old Maple, Ont. man has been charged after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted while in a car on the QEW.
OPP said the man was driving a woman home on the QEW when the sexual assault allegedly occurred on Aug. 15. Police said the man and woman did not know each other prior to the incident.
On Aug. 19, the woman contacted OPP and filed a complaint and said she was sexually assaulted during the ride.
Police identified Amir Wahab, 44, as the driver of the vehicle. He has since been charged with one count of sexual assault.
Wahab is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 5 in Milton, Ont.
