WINNIPEG – A 25-year-old man was arrested after breaking into a home in Charleswood and stabbing an elderly man.
It happened at a home on Betsworth Avenue near Civic Street around 5 :00 a.m. Sunday.

An elderly couple was sleeping when the suspect broke into their home, confronted and stabbed a 66-year old-man multiple times in the upper body. A 64-year-old woman managed to flee and call police. The woman sustained minor injuries. The homeowners are both in stable condition.
The suspect has been remanded into custody for his alleged involvement, the investigation continues.
