REGINA – An early morning house fire in the North Central community has been deemed suspicious in nature.
Fire crews were on scene investigating the cause of the blaze Thursday morning, that broke out around 2:30 a.m. at 789 Retallack Street.
Nobody was home at the time and officials said the majority of the damage was in the back portion of the house.
Marsha Gordon lives across the street and said there’s been a number of house fires in the neighborhood recently.
“It makes me nervous because if they are deliberate then I’m afraid, but if they are by accident then there’s not much you can do about. But yes, it makes me nervous,” she explained.
Regina Police Service’s commercial crime unit is now investigating the fire.
