WATCH ABOVE: An on-duty officer skips rope in full uniform and even tries Double Dutch for the first time.
Recent footage of on-duty officer Corporal Alan Jones playing jump rope in Maryland with his gun, badge and vest still on has gone viral.
Jones, a community policing officer, was in full uniform at an August 22 event at Victourious Life of Faith Church in District Heights when he was invited to join a game of ‘Double Dutch‘.
Did his service weapon, stun gun and bulletproof vest stop him? Not at all — and midway through Jones even started showing off.
“I’ve never done Double Dutch before. I have done jump rope, you know just for cardio and stuff. I like doing it, I’ve never done two ropes before,” Jones told WUSA9.
Jones posted footage of his effort on his Facebook page dedicated to his second job — he’s also a realtor. The video has since been watched more than 389,000 times at this writing.
