Fire Information Officer Kayla Pepper says one of the fires was 0.1 hectares and the other was 10 metres by 10 metres.

“They are very small smoldering ground fires with very little open flame,” says Pepper. “It’s two separate fires right next to each other.”

Pepper says eight wildfire service personnel are at the scene, south of Mission Creek. She says no structures are being threatened by the fires.
