A man in Cloverdale is lucky he escaped with only minor injuries after driving into a half-open gate on his way to work this morning.
The driver was arriving at work in the 18500-block of 53 Avenue when he hit the gate. It pierced the windshield, reportedly missing the driver’s head by inches.

He was taken to hospital and is expected to be OK.
RCMP have not said at this time what caused the accident.
