SASKATOON – A legendary Canadian actor is coming to Saskatoon. William Shatner, who rose to fame as Capt. James T. Kirk in the original Star Trek series, will be appearing at the Saskatoon Expo next month.
Organizers of the event confirmed Thursday Shatner, 84, will make his appearance on Sept. 20.
Along with starring in seven Star Trek movies, Shatner also starred in several television series including T.J. Hooker, TekWar and Boston Legal, and hosted Rescue 911.
Shatner is one of several actors who will be at the expo. Others appearing include Edward James Olmos, Steve Cardenas and Michelle Forbes.

The Saskatoon Expo brings fans of comics, pop culture, sci-fi, horror, cosplay and cartoons together under one roof. Along with over 200 vendors, there will be panel discussions, question and answer sessions, workshops and a costume contest.
Saskatoon Expo takes Sept. 19-20 at Prairieland Park.
