Around 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday police searched Palm Road Apartments on the 2100 Block of Palm Road south for a suspicious package. To ensure the safety of residents in the area, police evacuated the building and roads in the vicinity were closed.

After finding no suspicious packages, the search moved to a Canada Post mailbox in front of the Spruce Manor apartment building on 23 Avenue South. Residents in the area were again asked to stay clear as police examined the inside of the large mailbox.
