VERNON, B.C-More than a week after he went missing, RCMP used sonar to search Kalamalka Lake for 24-year old Curtis Wilson today.
The Lethbridge man was reported missing by family over a week ago.
The body of Shane Letkeman, the man Wilson was reportedly travelling with, was pulled from the lake near Vernon, B.C on June 28th. An autopsy has confirmed his death was not suspicious.
Police say all indications point to Wilson being in the same area, and there have been no reported sightings of him.
Wilson’s sister Shanna is in Vernon helping with search efforts and says the support from friends, family and strangers has been overwhelming.
“I just want to know where my brother is, whatever that may be. I want people to still be on the lookout for him.”
His girlfriend, Carley Greene, is also in Vernon to assist with the search.
“Putting posters out and just talking to people in restaurants and getting the word out, even locals, asking them to spread it around to people they know.”
