Three women injured after car rear-ends truck in city’s west-end

TORONTO – Three people were injured, two seriously, after a car rear-ended a truck in Toronto’s west-end just before midnight on Wednesday.

The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. in the Albion Rd. and Weston Rd. area.

Firefighters had to remove the vehicle’s roof in order to rescue the passengers trapped inside.

Three women were removed and taken to hospital; one in life-threatening condition and the other in serious condition.

The third passenger suffered minor injuries.

An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the crash.
