REGINA – A 50-year-old man was tasered by police after officers say he was uncooperative.
Just before 2:00 p.m. Saturday, the Regina Police Service received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of the 900 block of Broder Street. A van was parked in a secluded location.
Police say the man refused to comply with officers when asked to show his hands and exit the vehicle. The man allegedly reached into the back seat to grab an object before an officer deployed his taser.
An axe and a hammer were found in the man’s vehicle.
Police say no one was hurt and the suspect is in custody.
