WATCH: Investigators are on scene of a shooting in Surrey. Multiple shots rang out just after 9:30 this evening outside of a popular restaurant.
Shots rang out near an Earls Restaurant in Surrey Monday night.
Police received reports of multiple shots fired at around 9 p.m. in a parking lot in the 7200 block of 120th Street in Surrey.
RCMP Cpl. Jeff Milliard told Global News there was a shooting, adding that “we have no victims at this time, but the incident does appear to be targeted.”
Mounties spoke to witness and believe the suspect vehicle, which fled the scene following the shooting, may have been a silver SUV type. The targets of the shooting are believed to be two males, who were eating at a nearby restaurant. The two males fled the area in a blue vehicle before police arrived and have not reported it to the authorities.
The shots fired resulted in some minor property damage but there was no evidence of injuries.
Surrey RCMP Sgt. Dale Carr says the investigation is in the early stages but it is believed this incident is connected to the recent spate of shootings in the Surrey area.
