TORONTO — If you are looking to give a dog or cat a forever home, visit the Mega Pet Adoption Weekend at Exhibition Place in Toronto, running June 5 through June 7. For $25 you can bring home a new family member that will be spayed or neutered and vaccinated.
Sadie
Sadie came to Toronto Animal Services as a stray. She has quickly become a staff favourite with her easy going, friendly personality. Sadie is an approximately one-year-old female spayed Golden Retriever. She interacts well with the staff and loves to cuddle. Sadie has been taught her manners and knows sit, sit pretty and shakes both paws. She appears to be friendly and outgoing with other dogs and loves to play with them.
Sadie still has some puppy moments — lots of bounce on leash and jumping — so is not recommended she go to a home with young children. She has met some of the cats while at the shelter and has not shown any interest in them. She requires a fair bit of exercise due to her high energy. She is waiting patiently for her new forever home.
Marty
Marty arrived at Toronto Animal Services as a stray. He is approximately one year old, male neutered Jack Russell Terrier. This handsome fellow is shy at first but once he gets to know you, he is your new best friend. He thinks your lap is a great place to be and he loves to play with the other dogs. He feels a little insecure around people he doesn’t know, but with a soft approach and some patience you can gain his trust.
Marty will probably do best around older children. He can get a little overwhelmed in a busy environment so will need a gentle introduction with people he trusts.
Sasha
Sasha is an adorable Great Pyrenees Mix. At nine months old, her sweet and gentle nature makes her the perfect forever-home pet. She is curious and friendly when interacting with other dogs. Sasha is looking for active and patient owners who have time to commit to her.
All three dogs will be available for adoption at the Mega Pet Adoption Weekend.
