Timelapse footage captured by photographer Bonny Fleming has gone viral.
The mesmerizing video shows a supercell thunderstorm forming over Black Hawk, South Dakota and has generated over 110,000 views online in less than a day.
Fleming said she and her boyfriend Aaron Woodward tracked the storm with their phones and set up a makeshift shoot by attaching her iPhone to a tripod with her hair tie.
“I set it up and just let it roll for about an hour while we ran around and clicked and watched in awe,” she wrote on her blog.
Several other storm chasers joined the couple to observe the mesocyclone.
The excessive rainfall caused some flooding in the region and a flood warning has been issued.
