CALGARY – Charges could be laid against the driver of a vehicle caught speeding before a collision near Canmore on Tuesday.
RCMP were attempting to stop a vehicle travelling over 200 km/h on the Trans-Canada Highway around 1 a.m. when the driver lost control and crashed.
After the crash, the driver fled the scene, leaving four injured passengers inside the vehicle.
A female in her late teens and three males in their early 20s were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening innuries.
RCMP say charges are being considered against the driver.
CORRECTION: Although EMS had originally reported one person was killed in the collision, RCMP later verified that wasn’t correct.
