Ready for rain? Weather warning for central and south Okanagan

UPDATE: The rainfall warning has ended, but showers are still in the forecast for the late morning.

After a sunny Saturday to start the Victoria Day long weekend, the clouds have rolled, and in along with them, a warning from Environment Canada.

A rainfall warning is in effect for the central and south Okanagan, with up to 25 millimeters forecast to fall today.

The biggest concern is heavy rain causing flash flooding and water pooling on roads. Osoyoos reportedly saw 25 millimeters of rain fall overnight.

The showers are expected to taper off by noon.
