Missing man’s boat found in northern Saskatchewan

UPDATE: RCMP say Daniel Adam Charles was located safe and sound by searchers.

STANLEY MISSION, Sask. – RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating a man in northern Saskatchewan. Daniel Adam Charles, 40, was reported missing on Monday.

He was last seen May 9 leaving Grandmother’s Bay in his boat.

Searchers located the boat Tuesday morning along the Churchill River. The area was searched and investigators believe Charles made his way to Highway 102 just north of Missinipe and headed south.

He is described as aboriginal, five-foot seven, 170 pounds, with a slender build, brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey sweater, black pants and a hat.

Anyone who may have given him a ride or has information is asked to contact police at 306-635-2390.
