Prince Harry is looking for love and royal babies but says he knows the “time will come” and “whatever happens, happens.”

In a one-on-one interview with a reporter from Sky News in New Zealand, Prince Harry said he knows he can’t “force these things” but that he’d love to have kids “right now.”

“There come times when you think, now’s the time to settle down, or now’s not or whatever way it is,” he said.

“I don’t think you can force these things, it’ll happen when it’s going to happen – of course I’d love to have kids right now but, you know, there’s a process that one has to go through and tours like this are great fun,” he told Sky News.

He said having a partner, like his brother William has his wife Kate, would help him with the royal visits.

“Hopefully I’m doing all right by myself. It would be great to have someone else next to me to share the pressure,” he said.

“But, you know, time will come and whatever happens, happens.”

The 30-year-old prince was travelling through New Zealand after military attachment with the Australian Defence Force. He’s finished with the military in June and admitted he’s at a “crossroads” where he has to decide between a life in the military, or a more normal (for a prince) life.

“I, and William as well, feel like we need to have a wage as well, to work within normal people – to keep us sane, to keep us ticking along and surely in the future.”

Harry also talked about his new niece, Princess Charlotte, and said he received a photo of her from his brother Prince William, shortly after her birth at St. Mary’s hospital in London, England.

“As I’ve said, I’m so looking forward to seeing her, meeting her, holding her – she was a little bit late hence I missed her, so she’ll have to work on that,” he told Sky News.

“It’s fantastic news for both [the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge] so I’m thrilled.”
