SASKATOON – A Taser was used on a dog trying to bite three officers Friday, according to Saskatoon police. The conducted energy weapon (CEW) was deployed during a domestic situation in the 200-block of Avenue R South.
At around 4:11 p.m., officers were called to a residence.
Police say a dog, belonging to the occupants, attempted to bite two officers before charging at a third officer. The officer deployed the device and the dog retreated.
A member of the police canine unit examined the dog to make sure it did not require medical attention from a veterinarian. Officers determined the dog could be left with the homeowner.
