Suspected child predator Howard Krupp re-arrested

MONTREAL — Montreal police confirmed Thursday night that suspected child predator Howard Krupp was re-arrested last Friday.

Krupp was arrested on the West Island just after 1 p.m. April, 24 under section 810.1 of the Criminal Code.

It allows for the arrest of a person if there are reasonable grounds that a child could come to harm.

Krupp has a long history with the law.

He was charged with two counts of indecent assault in April 2014.

He was also picked up on the West Island for stalkng children as they came off of school buses.

In 2000, Krupp was arrested and pleaded guilty to charges of possession and distribtuion of child pronography.

Police said Krupp has to sign a court document promising to keep the peace, and stick to his restrictions forbidding him from being near children or face 12 months in prison.
