Dramatic video emerged on Wednesday showing the moment the earthquake struck in Kathmandu last Saturday.
The images taken from a closed circuit surveillance camera show the scene in the Sundhara district of the capital.
People are going about their daily lives and then suddenly the earthquake hits.

As people realise what’s happening there is confusion and panic, then a building crashes into the road and a man in a cart swerves to avoid it.
He avoids the full weight of the building by millimetres but seems to be injured.
He is later carried away by a group of men.
It was not known if he sustained serious injuries from the incident.
The earthquake has so far killed more than 5-thousand people.
