YORKTON – Two teenage girls were taken to hospital Friday night after being hit by a car in a marked crosswalk.
The collision happened at 6:40 p.m. on Broadway Street West at Maple Avenue.
According to RCMP, the girls, aged 15 and 16, had activated the cross walk signal lights before stepping out onto the road.
As a result of the impact, they were taken to the hospital in Yorkton with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the westbound car stopped and spoke with authorities, but has not yet been charged as the incident is still under investigation.
