KELOWNA — A noon-hour fire damaged a residential garage Wednesday on Gagnon Place, near the Dairy Queen on Harvey Avenue. Witnesses saw smoke coming from the detached garage and jumped into action. They informed the homeowners who got out safely. One resident was seen breathing from an oxygen mask provided by fire fighters. Neighbours attacked the flames with a garden hose and managed to extinguish the fire. Damage was limited to inside the garage.
Fire crews are now investigating how it started but say the cause is not obvious at this time.
