WATCH: Embarrassing moment when Queen’s Guard wipes out in front of tourists

TORONTO – A Queen’s Guard wiped out in front a bunch of tourists during a Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace in London last Thursday.

The guard appeared to have lost his footing on a manhole cover in front a sentry box, causing him to slip sideways and take a tumble.

David Meadwell, who recorded the flop, said the guard looked embarrassed as the soldier tried to recompose himself.

“I didn’t expect anything like this to happen – he went flying,” Meadwell told The Telegraph. “There were quite a few people around and there were a lot of gasps as he went down.”

As the newspaper points out, the soldier possibly slipped as a result of the metal protectors nailed to the soles of his boots.
