ESTEVAN, Sask. — Police have charged the driver of a semi-tanker that rolled in southern Saskatchewan and leaked hazardous material.
RCMP say a 41-year-old Manitoba man faces one count under the Traffic Safety Act of driving without due care and attention.
They did not release the driver’s name.
Highway 39 near the Roche Percee Valley was closed for a time Sunday night while the hazardous material was pumped off the tanker.
The substance was not identified.
The driver was not hurt and police say there was no danger to nearby homes or farms.
