VERNON — An 18-year-old North Okanagan man is dead after a fatal fall from a cliff in Coldstream Saturday night. Emergency crews were called to King Edward Forest Service Road at 7:30 p.m.
“He was hiking or climbing up on some rocks…and he fell an estimated 30 to 45 feet,” says Vernon RCMP spokesperson, Gord Molendyk.
RCMP say the teen died on scene.
Molendyk couldn’t confirm if the teen was alone at the time of the accident.
The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP are investigating. The teen’s name is being withheld as authorities are in the process of notifying family.
