First weekend on campaign trail

CALGARY – It’s the first weekend for candidates on the campaign trail ahead of the May provincial election.

Party leaders and candidates are holding events in Calgary and across Alberta on Saturday.

PC Party leader Jim Prentice is making several stops south of the city before a photo-op in Calgary on Saturday evening.

Prentice visited High River on Friday, but did not promise further support to High River residents affected by the 2013 floods.

Leader of Alberta’s NDP Rachel Notley is in Fort McMurray at a pancake fundraiser today, before heading to a local Tim Hortons to chat with Albertans.
