EDMONTON – Wildrose Leader Brian Jean says his party has a plan to get Alberta’s economy back on track without raising taxes.

Jean says a Wildrose government would save money by cutting one-third of government managers and half the managers in Alberta Health Services.

The party would also slash government travel and advertising budgets, limit the use of consultants and roll back pay for politicians.

Jean says that would save more than $2 billion in this budget year alone.

He says his government would also keep building infrastructure like schools and roads, but would defer lower priority projects.

Jean declined to specify what he would consider to be lower-priority projects.
