CALGARY – RCMP believe a fire at a home just south of Okotoks may have been deliberately set.
Officers on patrol first noticed the flames coming from a home on Southridge Drive and Highway 7, just south of Okotoks early Sunday morning.
Firefighters and RCMP both responded to the call at approximately 4:30 a.m. When they arrived the house was fully engulfed in flames.
RCMP say no one was at the home at the time but evidence at the scene led investigators to believe the fire may have been deliberately set.
Members of Okotoks RCMP have secured the scene until investigators with the fire department can attend the scene Monday.
