TORONTO — Actor Scott Eastwood says he agrees with his famous father’s position on equal marriage rights.

In a 2011 interview with GQ, Clint Eastwood wondered why some people make “a big deal” about gay marriage. The actor-director, now 84, said: “I don’t give a f*** about who wants to get married to anybody else! Why not?! Just give everybody the chance to have the life they want.”

His 29-year-old son, who stars in the upcoming movie The Longest Ride, echoed his dad. “That’s perfect,” he told Pride Source.

“I’m a firm believer that everyone’s human.”

Eastwood added: “We’re only on this planet for a short period of time, and we should all just be as kind as we can to other people.”

The actor said he doesn’t understand why anyone would be opposed to equal marriage.

“Everyone leave everyone alone. Everyone live their own private life,” he said. “Why does everyone gotta be all up in arms about it?”

Eastwood, who is often photographed shirtless — and on his Instagram — and has flaunted his physique in films, said he is flattered by the attention he gets from gay men.

“I love it,” he said. “Fans are fans, and gay men are great.”

Eastwood also said he would have no hesitation playing a gay character on screen.

“It’s all about the script and the director,” he said. “If it’s a great script and a great director, then yeah.”

Eastwood will be in Toronto this summer to play a small part in Suicide Squad, the big-budget supervillain movie starring Will Smith, Jared Leto and Margot Robbie.

The Longest Ride opens in cinemas on April 10 — and yes, Eastwood knows it’s ripe for a porn parody.

“That’d be so funny if that happened,” he told Pride Source. “And why not?!”
