TORONTO – A 71-year-old Toronto man is facing charges in connection with alleged sexual assaults on a girl dating back to the late 1970s.
Police say they were contacted earlier this month with allegations that a babysitter sexually assaulted a girl from when she was five years old, in October 1977, until October 1980.

Investigators say the suspect also babysat other children in the Toronto neighbourhood (near Spadina Road and Lowther Avenue).
Marco Marquez is charged with rape, having intercourse with a female under 14 and indecent assault on a female.
He’s scheduled to appear in court on May 6.
Police say they believe there may be more victims.
