REGINA – A Regina man is facing assault charges after a woman was attacked in downtown Regina on Friday evening.
Just before 10:00 p.m. police were called to Albert St. and Saskatchewan Dr. where a man was allegedly assaulting a female with his bare hands.
The suspect had fled the scene by the time officers arrived, but further investigation led them to arrest 34-year-old Maurice Grant Johnson and charge him with assault.
The 43-year-old victim suffered non-life threatening injuries from the attack.
Johnson will make his first court appearance on April 9th.
