CALGARY — RCMP are searching not only for the suspects in what’s believed to be a serious attack, but also for the victim as well. An alleged assault was reported to Cochrane RCMP just before 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
Police were called to the underpass of Hermitage Road and Highway 1, where a witness driving on Hermitage Road said they saw two men who appeared to have had assaulted another man. The witness drove away to a safe location and called police.
The witness said they believed the male had been seriously assaulted and injured.
Police arrived on scene, where forensic evidence showed a serious assault happened at the underpass, which is roughly 15 kilometers west of Calgary.
Police said all three men seen by the witness had left the scene, and are believed to have headed east on Highway 1. Investigators are now looking for a grey, four-door car.
Cochrane RCMP continue to investigate and are asking anyone with any information about the identities of the victim or suspects contact either Cochrane RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
