Police release images of suspects in southeast shooting

CALGARY – Police have released photos of two men they’re hoping to identify in connection to a southeast shooting in early December.

Investigators believe the owner of the Dahab Exchange, located at 5012 17th Avenue S.E., was shot during an armed robbery at the business on Friday, December 5th, 2014.

Detectives used CCTV footage and witness interviews to determine that two masked entered the business around 6 p.m., demanding money.

During the robbery, a firearm was discharged and the business owner, a man in his 60’s, was shot in his upper body. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Police say both offenders fled on foot.

The first offender is described as approximately 6’ tall and having a slim build. He was wearing a red hoodie with the hood pulled over his head, black material covering his face from the nose down, dark jeans with a logo tag above the right rear pocket, dark shoes and black gloves.

The second man is described as approximately 5’10” to 6’ tall and having a medium build.  He was wearing a dark three-quarter length jacket, a dark grey shirt, possibly a dark ski mask, blue faded jeans, silver and dark running shoes and black gloves.
